Order Flow Monitor - Settings for "Exchange Hour Offset" in TradeStation & MultiCharts
If you are using TradeStation:
Within "Format Symbol" set the "Display: Time Zone" to 'Local' (see attached).
Within Format Indicator, "...sceeto 2.0 | S&P 500 | Order Flow Monitor", go to the 'Inputs' tab and set 'ExchangeHrOffset' to '0'
Note - 0 is the default setting. This approach works for all Order Flow Monitors regardless of the market.
If you are using MultiCharts:
Within "Format Instrument" set the "Display: Time Zone" to 'Local'.
Within "Format Indicator", "...sceeto 2.0 | S&P 500 | Order Flow Monitor", go to the 'Inputs' tab and set 'ExchangeHrOffset' to '0'.
Note - 0 is the default setting. This approach works for all Order Flow Monitors regardless of the market.
Using "Display: Time Zone = Exchange"
When using "Display: Time Zone" = "Exchange" you can jigger the "ExchangeHrOffset" as needed to align data amongst your time zone, the exchanges time zone, and Order Flow Monitor.
For example, if you are trading ES, which is at the CME and is thus on Central Time, and your machine is in New York, which is Eastern Time and you elect to set "Display: Time Zone" to "Exchange Time" then set 'ExchangeHrOffset' to 1.
